What We Believe

Statement of Believes

The following is a statement of our core beliefs.  Please take the time to read this and familiarize yourself with our church.

Bible

We believe the Bible is the living, authoritative, inspired, and infallible word of God. This includes both the Old and New Testament, which perfectly complement each other and are without contradiction. Every word, period, and comma were purposefully inspired by God and without error. We unapologetically preach the Bible, undeterred by popular culture, tradition, or opinion. We will NOT tone down, sugarcoat, or accommodate God’s Word to match the times.

For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.
(KJV, 2 Timothy 4:3-4)

TRINITY

We believe in one perfect God, the God of Abraham, the Alpha, and the Omega, consisting of three persons: The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

Salvation

We believe that salvation is found in the blood of Jesus, His sacrifice on the cross, and His conquering over death. Not by works, self-righteousness, or acts of contrition. Salvation comes through faith in Christ and Christ alone.

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
(KJV, John 14:6)

For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son: That all men should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father. He that honoureth not the Son honoureth not the Father which hath sent him.
(KJV, John 5:22-23)

Baptism

We believe in baptism as the outward profession of our faith in Jesus.

And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
(KJV, Mark 16:16)

Marriage

We believe marriage is an ecclesiastical term belonging to and defined by, God, and God alone. Marriage consists of the joining together of one man and one woman as prescribed in the Bible. This is the only type of marriage recognized by this church. We believe that all else is an abomination of God’s intended design.

Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.
(KJV, Genesis 2:24)

Gender

We believe that nowhere is God’s infallibility more visible than in His creation. Therefore, American Revival Church recognizes only two genders: biologically born male, and biologically born female.

So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
(KJV, Genesis 1:27)

The woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man, neither shall a man put on a woman's garment: for all that do so are an abomination unto the LORD thy God.
(KJV, Deuteronomy 22:5)

Sexual Immorality

We believe any form of sexual immorality is a sin. This includes homosexuality, adultery, fornication, polygamy, bestiality, incest, and transgenderism.

Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind,
Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.

(KJV, 1 Corinthians 6:9-10)

SIN


We believe that Jesus came to save sinners, which encompasses all mankind. For not one of us is good in the holy eyes of God. We welcome every sinner of every kind and from every walk of life. At our church, you will be taught the Gospel, the unadulterated Word of God, and led to the pathway for salvation through the grace that can only be offered by our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. With salvation comes transformation, adherence to God’s Word, and the fear of the Lord. So, therefore, every sinner is welcome, but for the purpose of attaining salvation; not to purposely, and indefinitely, remain in perpetual sin.

Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.

Israel & The Jewish people


As Bible-believing Christians, we believe the Jewish people are God's chosen people and as such we unequivocally stand with Israel and the Jewish people.

And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.
 
(KJV, Genesis 12:3)

No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD.
